Show Notes

September is Homicide Victim's Remembrance Month, so this month we are focusing on the stories of families of homicide victims or as they are known in their community: Homicide Survivors. Jolene's daughter Amanda was killed in a senseless murder. Before Amanda's death, Jolene received custody of Amanda's two daughters due to Amanda's struggle with addiction. Now 4 1/2 years later Jolene still finds herself struggling with the tragic loss of her daughter but is hopeful that others who have lost someone in this manner can find community and hope when they realize there are others out there who understand what they are going through.
